My personal food highlights (not only during the Sandkerwa): Café Seel: Seelspitzen and Bamberger Hörnchen http://www.baeckerei-seel.de/galerie/g11.html http://www.baeckerei-seel.de/galerie/g1.html You can get these regional products also from other bakeries, but these of Seel are the best. "Bamberger Hörnla" looks like a croissant, but is made with butter. Metzgerei Liebold: Leberkäse im Kümmelbrötchen a type of meat loaf popular in Germany and Austria in a roll with caraway (typical spice of the region) Small shop/café right from the brewery pub "Ambräsianum" and left from Schlenkerla: Zwetschgenkuchen, a cake (baked with yeast) with brune plum Pelikan: Thai food, some dishes with regional products like Pastinaken (parsnip, a root) or Bratwürste; home made Kümmelbratwürste with bread Gasthaus Fischerei: Schnitzel Wiener Art (from the pig) with baked potatoes without website, a map: http://www.qype.com/place/preview/de-8486759-gasthaus-fischerei-bamberg It is a franconian wine pub, but have somme goods beer, p.e. Mönchsambacher Weißbier On the river in the near of / under the Markusbrücke Grilled fish: Saibling, Forelle Makrele.
