Saibling, Bachsaibling, Forelle...

You and Jim were discussing this a while back. I understand now, thanks to wikipedia.org and .de: Saibling is a genus under salmonidae, called "char(r)" in English. Bachsaibling is one of the chars, known as "brook trout" in North America, and is non-native here, having been brought to Europe in 1884, according to wikipedia.de. Forelle is "brown trout", or trout in Europe. There are various other kinds in North America. And now I'm hungry for some.
