| Schlenkerla just a typical Bamberg stube - the customer is privileged to be allowed to drink there rather than the other way round! Have only eaten in there on one occasion and the service was so-so. But I have met a couple of nice guys at the Ausschank with whom I've talked about Bavarian Anstich etc. Amazing how things improve once you get out of Bamberg, even in Merkendorf, Hallstadt, Kemmern, etc. Bad news about Faessla - I had just come to like their beer and I particularly like the Schwemm - to quote an English newspaper 'all human life is there'! |
