Faessla Lager & Schlenkerla

You really, really need to go to Schlenkerla at about 14:00 on a Wednesday to experience it relatively tourist-free. Or at least not heaving with them. A couple of hours of relative calm and quiet on a weekday afternoon with room to sit...lovely.

Evenings? Forget it. Weekends? Don't make me laugh.

Yours and the others' assessment of Fässla more or less match my own: beer unexciting but drinkable, place loaded with character The Bock is actually decent, amber - copper as opposed to the black stuff across the street.

I really should've asked what was wrong with the Lager the other day, but I was only in for a quick pre-train stop. It was actually fine that I didn't drink more than a couple of sips.
