| Well, it's always a matter of taste, so it seems. I found brewery Hönig terrible. The beer garden is much too big, very touristy and not very nice. The beer is thin and lifeless. The Rauchbier is crappy. IMO. Büttner: Yes, nice. If you want to see a REAL farm brewery, come and visit Goldochsenbräu Spielbach! :-) I don't think, the Kreuzberg Kellers are better in any case than the Roßdorfer Keller. I know, you might feel offended. But I still have the feeling a lot of people here in this forum are visiting the same breweries over and over again. Who has been to Pferdsfeld, yet? Or to Büchenbach? Or to Leups? Or to Warmensteinach-Hütten? Or to Wunsiedel? Or to Schonungen? Kappel? Stadtsteinach? Gnodstadt? Rüdenhausen? Wettelsheim? Of course they're a few miles away from Bamberg, but there are a lot of underdogs in the surrounding area, too. Mostly overlooked, as it seems. I think that's a shame. Jürgen |
