Lower Alcohol -- Sauer (Rossdorf am Forst) Sommerbier

Indeed. The Sommerbier in Rossdorf was quite good the other day: free of any obvious defects, unlike some other low-gravity beers around here (Mahr's Leichtes suffers from DMS, in particular). Of course, it could be hoppier, but so could many other beers brewed nearby. This was clean and quaffable, though by no means like a good Real Ale of similar gravity is. I drank two. And then a bottled Braunbier, which was much better than the draught (CO2) version was at the Keller in May. I suspect the dispense lines at the Keller need attention, as the beers are cleaner at the Brauerei.
