Last month we were walking from Roßdorf to Merkendorf and beer quality was quite poor
Roßdorf - none of the beers was excelent, but still drinkable
Griess/Geisfeld - pub was open, metallic taste.
Krug/Geisfeld - closed yet (they changed the opening times, now they open every day at 4 pm I think)
 Melkendorf - Urlaub
 Lohndorf - diacetyl bomb
Knoblach - excelent, first good beers of that day
 Drosendorf - DMS present
Hummel + Wagner - both very good.

I really don't understand all that talking so bad about certain breweries and beers. It seems a matter of personal taste. I've been to Roßdorf in winter and actually found excellent beers. I like the Koettensdorf beer. If there's a metallic taste in a beer (Griess) I appreciate it. Never got a really bad beer at Melkendorf either and Lohndorf beer was quite good most times. As far as I'm concerned, the only beers on the list I don't like are those from Knoblach, Schammelsdorf. For me they're just bitter, nothing else. But I can see why some people like them, especially if they are smokers. Anyway. I think some people really judge too hard. Why not try and find the good aspects of a beer? Just my opinion.
