Tasting of belgian beers at Café Abseits, Bamberg

This sounds like an interesting experiment, which I hope will work. However, it seems to me that price is likely to be an issue. Having been a publican, I know that there is always a difference between what you pay in a shop for a bottle of beer and what the publican must sell it for, but in Beligium, the difference is quite stark. E.g. it is easy to buy a bottle of good beer, such as Duvel, for less than 1 € but usually bars charge 3 - 3.50 € - even in Ireland (one of the most expensive countries in the EU), it is possible to buy a bottle of Duvel for less than 2 € in a supermarket. So, I ask a cheeky question: why must Abseits follow the Belgian price and not offer their customers this good opportunity at a more realistic price?
