| Looking at the schedule today, I see you're right. Of course. Looking at the schedule yesterday though, I really did see both trains listed, overlapping. Really. I swear. Ah...no, I see now...the R2 timetable for 2010 at http://vgn.de/efa9/efa99/roccas/TTB/00004c36.pdf which shows the old RB's running is only valid until 22.11.2010 -- that's what I had overlooked. And the new one for 2011 http://vgn.de/efa9/efa99/roccas/TTB/0000316d.pdf is valid from 12.12.2010. This means, of course, that trains running between Nberg and Bamberg were not running to any timetable between 22.11. and 12.12.2010! ;) Either way, the S-Bahn appears to run *faster* than the RB between Bamberg and Erlangen. I worry about the S-Bahn capacity though. Would you happen to know? |
