| If you look up the timetables on the VGN website you'll see a list with different periods of validity, that all has to do with the engineering works still going on on the southern part of the line. The faster timings might have something to do with different engines. I think the former East-German locomotives they used on the RB thus far have a maximum speed of 120 km/h. I think having read somewhere they will be using faster ones (140 or maybe 160 max) now. You'll have to look for yourself, it'll be a few months before I will visit Franconia again. |
