Fake Barrels

The fake barrels at Spezial (and Fässla) are not new -- they've being using them since I first went to Bamberg in 2000. Stöhrenkeller also has had their fake barrel since they openned -- but their's is more special -- it serves two different beers smiley

And if you want Mönchsambacher from a barrel, you don't have to travel that far, just go to Roten Schild (above Stihbruch, the former Blues Bar) on a Friday or Saturday night and they'll have a barrel of Metzgerbräu or Mönchsambacher on the bar -- some nights both!
