| Hit only six of the breweries and a bunch of the pubs over the weekend and the ban was enforced -- even at Fässla :) It may take a summer or two for the rooms to air out though :) Spezial has two shiny copper ashtrays mounted to the wall by the door (inside the courtyard). The end result there and just about everywhere else is now you wade thru the smokers on the way to restroom. But much, much better. Thomas at Torshuster had a good comment -- it might have been better to start it in warmer month to ease people used into smoking/drinking outside. There does seem to be loophole for "Smoker's Clubs" -- a couple of the Sandstrasse pubs seem to have gone this route. I assume you pay a "membership fee" and then you can go in and smoke. Don't know if this is real loophole or something that will eventually be squashed. |
