Hey guys. Sorry I haven't commented on any of your questions until now, but we had very intermittent computer access while on the trip. Thanks again for all of the help you gave us planning our excursions. Sorry we missed you at Roppelt's Nick. It was OK weather for sitting out if you were in the sun, but not sure I'd want to ride a bike all the way out there either. We ended up starting at Roppelt's where we had both the Hefe and the Kellerbier which were great (especially the Kellerbier). Then walked up the hill which was a little muddy but not too bad to Rittmayer where we ate schnitzel with a mushroom sauce and fries. Very tasty! We tried most of their beers. Unfortunately there was a fair amount of diacetyl in all of them except the Helles (can't remember if they called it a Kellerbier or a Landbier). Lieberth's wasn't open, so last was Friedel's. It got a little colder and windy then so we sat inside. The brewer and his wife were very nice. We had about 6 of the 10 beers they had on and all were very nice. I think the Schwarzbier was the best. It had a little bit of smoked malt in it too. We also had to try their asparagus schnapps. You could definitely taste the asparagus. We went down the hill on the Friedels side to catch the bus outside of Lieberth's in Hallerndorf. We just took a right out of Friedel's and headed down the paved road to where it dead ends. Took a left there and walked along the "shoulder" for about 200 or 300 meters to the bus stop on the right. Not bad. More on the rest of the trip later!
