| Weizenbier does tend to be sweet in my mind. I told Herr Roppelt yesterday that I was sticking with the Kellerbier despite the Weizen being vom Fass and in the bottle. He said that was the "right beer". The Weizen ain't moving as well as he thought it might, and he sounded like he might give up on it after a while. Rittmayer of Hallerndorf had brewed a Weizenbier for him in the past; this is his first self-weizen. I did see a few people drinking it though, but only a tiny fraction of people compared to the Kellerbier. A Kellermate said he's tried it and it's just so-so. Not a Gutmann. |
