Forthcoming Bamberg visit

Don, my email is barryriley@eircom.net (my name is actually Taylor - Riley is the name of my favourite old British car). Can anyone explain the effect of Bamberg joining the Nurnburg VKN system. I understand that you can buy a day ticket for 2 people for Bamberg Zones 1 and 2 but can you buy a Nurnburg ticket that also covers Bamberg and surrounding region?
