| I just meant Kellerbier like Roppelt, Griess, or Witzgall (though he calls it "Landbier", it's as much a Kellerbier as any other AFAIC); I don't know if I've ever had a "Kellerpils". I've heard the term before, but assumed it was an American marketing mish-mash. "Hefepils" or "unfiltriertes Pils" can be good, though I can't think of any that I know of at the moment. I agree, Pils != Kellerbier in terms of taste. Kellerbier should be hoppy and bitter though, Pils likewise. But differently. |
