| Note that I said "beers", not "Seidla"! No guarantee of Seidla(s) in Erlangen either. "On" vs. "at" is more of a challenge than I thought then. But for my sake: You Engländer(s) would never say that your beer is "at the table", when it's really on the table, would you? I think I shall continue to instruct pupils that people sit or are "at" the table, not "on". |
