B&J in Franken: Report 5

I don't think that I really explained this too well, specially not for Vadim!  It seems to me that a 'Stammtisch' is a concept rather than the actual bit of wood, formica, steel, etc. that an actual table might be made of.  In this sense it is like the 'tee' (or 'tee box') in golf - you will hear golf commentators say 'Now, on the tee...' etc.  Similarly, waiters wait 'on table' rather than 'at table' because it is the concept rather than the actual table that is the object of the sentence.

Any clearer for Vadim?  Probably best left alone in his case.
