Homebrewing - bottles

Erm...normally, fermentation shouldn't be continuing in the bottle by the time you start drinking it! Bottle-conditioning ain't exactly the same as cask-conditioning. Who would've thought that Europeans would be the ones going for plastic, whereas the Yanks stand up for traditional materials like plastic and steel?
