Visited Bräuwerck Neudrossenfeld yesterday after an adventurous walk along the former Altdrossenfeld logging railway, that existed from 1909 to approx. 1920 in the deep forests of the area. Perfect day for a railway and beer lover! The pub and brewery are situated in a perfectly restored historic building at the market square. Nice and cosy fournished. Food: Wow!!! Beer: Three beers: Helles Vollbier (Tagwerck), Dunkles Vollbier (Nachtwerck), Weizen (Landwerck). Hops used: Hell - Spalt Spalter and Perle; Dunkel: Same; Weizen: Perle only. Didn't try the Weizen but the bottom fermented beers were very good. The dark one had a little bit too much roasted malt for my taste, but the light Vollbier was great. Bought a 5 l cask of it.
