@Jim: "Werck" is an old form of "Werk", just as Nick assumed. German orthography (modern German) changed a lot in the last 300 years. E. g. cinnamon was written "Zimmet" until ca. 1700, then it changed to "Zimmt", now it's "Zimt". Writing "works" = "Werk" with a "ck" emphasizes the old-fashionenedness of the new Wirtschaft. @Nick: Spielbach, of course. I'd find it quite sad if you'd miss to meet the boss, Frau Unbehauen and the paying procedere. She won't become younger in the future. |
