This very much depends on the pub. I'm pretty sure if they do food it will be table service (food is rarely foisted upon the drinker). Klub Malych is a normal pub so you can order at the bar. Again with paying it depends on the place - obviously waiters will bring the bill at the end but at the bar it's up to you and the barperson- you'll work it out. In terms of what to drink in Klub Malych they have a rotating range of beers from the region so it will always be changing. If you want to send me a message when you are travelling to Plsen I could help you with what to drink as they list their beers on their website. You could also buy a bottle from the fridge for the journey. In general, I go for nefiltrovany (abbreviated nef.) which is obviously unfiltered. There are also a lot of ales based mainly on prominant US styles - IPAs etc. They are very well made as you would expect in the Czech Republic and showcase malt as well as hop. I imagine you'll be sticking to the much more drinker friendly 10, 11 or 12 degree light or dark lagers which remain the number one draw for me. It's also not a crime to get a smal beer. These days the choice is huge and the quality very high so you'll not find much dross. |
