...its been over 5 years since I've had this and it is good as I remember. I hope to ride down to the keller on Sunday if the weather is nice. I will say this -- I gather from what Gerhard said, that is in kegs but CO2 level is spot on... We we need to do is invent the Franconian equivalent of a cask breather. I'm sure the reason they don't have beers from Bayerische Anstich is they don't sell enough in a day to justify a barrel. With Real Ale you have the advantage of some yeast to keep things drinkable but with a filtered beer I can tell you from experience that a barrel left open overnight tastes like crap the next day -- no matter how good the beer was to start. Did I say how much I like this beer? |
