Price of beer in LA

Los Angeles, that is, not Louisiana. I saw Fred tweet a few chalkboard tap lists from what I will assume are up-scale beer houses in LA yesterday. I'll take the liberty of copying them here, for illustrative and conversational purposes.

First up, the rotating taps at Gulp West LA:

All prices nicely rounded up or down to the dollar. I'd be curious about the Fortunate Islands and the Boulevard Porter.

Next, Simmzys Venice certainly put a lot of impressive work into their chalkboard listings. I've cut the photo up to not take up so much horizontal space, and yet capture the detail:

Honestly, I don't know if I'd go for anything but the nitro stout, the Telegraph, or the Praga. And the North Coast Red Seal, which has been regular on *cask* at the Moon & Sixpence in Portland since the 90's. Interesting -- is that really De Garre's house tripel?

And then, the Daily Pint appears to have either priced all the beers the same, so no price necessary on the list, or you're supposed to not care about price, or there's a flat-rate upon paying an entry charge a la GABF, or it's all free...?

All that would provide some interesting tasting, but not so much diversity in *drinking* for closed-minded me. LA beer would pickle my liver fast.
