"Kellerbock"-crosspost from the BBB

Great site here Fred, hope this message board takes off in the future...anyway, here's something I just posted on the Burgundian Babble Belt(BBB) about a new unfiltered helles bock available here in Oregon from Siletz of Siletz...I see there's all ready been a good deal of discussion here on the subject(keller beer), which I'm glad of. Anyway, the post: "I am drinking the MOST sublime beer right now from Siletz/Renegade brewing of Siletz Oregon-Wooly Bully unfiltered helles bock! First Full Sail Capsize, now this, an unbelieveably good pale/maibock which happens to be unfiltered (Zwickelbock? Kellerbock???)...the little bit of yeast in the bottle adds some backbone to the intense maltiness, and helps add to the hop bitters to make for a marvelously fresh tasting and life-affirming beer! Even though this kind of beer doesn't sell that well in hop/ale-centric Oregon, the beer geeks are prevailing, and experiments like this meet with success. This beer just showed up Fri. night at Belmont station during a Siletz tasting, which also included the brewery's stunning new Winter warmer, Spruce ale and (also unfiltered) Lovin lager, all of which were fantastic. A brewer to watch out for, with this level of quality being achieved these guys are gonna be recieving wider recognition in the not too distant future...you've been warned/informed! cheers!" copyright Perkeo, 2002...Prost!
