Rauchbier varieties (was: Landbier)

Maybe they didn't clean the filter very well that day :) To be sure, I've only had it a couple of times, mostly out of curiosity, but I didn't detect much smoke at all. One of times was a couple of days after leaving Bamberg so my palete had time to adjust. (I'm not arguing -- just observing that there must be something variable in the process). And for those of you who are wondering what we are talking about, the Schlenkerla "Lagerbier" comes in a bottle with a blue label and is not (to my knowledge) available on draft. At one time you could only buy it at the tavern, but that may have changed.
