Reading the name Zirndorfer reminds me of my first night spent in Bamberg. I settled into a bar stool at Stilbruch. Had one spectacular beer after another (Mahrs U, Keesman Pils, Spezial Rauchbier, Hubner Vollbier). I was amazed. Then the young couple next to me suggested I try the Zirndorfer Landbier that was vom Fass. I obliged thinking that it would be another home run. Talk about sinking back down to reality. I remember looking back over to said couple, hiding my dissapointment, and the woman put a big smile on and said "See isn't it fantastic?!" .... Ugh.
