Depends on where you stay. I have a single room (shared facilities) for GBP 21/night. Not far from a Circle Line tube stop and some decent pubs in the area, too. Of course sometimes I have flashbacks -- it is literally a college dorm room, not all that different than one I inhabited way back when :)
