Also, Google maps will give good details; simply enter "Hauptbahnhof, Munich, Germany" into the search field, and the map will show locations of the Hbf, underground and trams, and will even note where the Augustiner Großgaststätte is. Pretty user-friendly overall. For the short distance, there's not likely to be much time difference between walking and taking a train or tram. I like the Bayern-ticket site, though; very good coverage of all the lines in Bavaria.
