| Westvleteren is a great beer, but unfortunately it has been promoted as the best beer in the world, which it is not. I doubt that it is the best Belgian beer, not if you want to accord proper status to the lambics. Mahrs is fortunate to brew beers in Schlenkerla's shadow, where it can escape the hype. |
