Scary? Nah. Shame that you didn't explore the small, traditional, country or village breweries in the UK though! Fraoch is available in the US, and all I can recall of it is that it was not too fresh, and rather zesty from the heather. Reinheitsgebot?!? Actually, "bitter" is not necessarily very bitter in flavour. It's usually a very finely balanced beer.
