| From 2nd to 6th June. http://www.frankenradar.de/events/fraenkisches-bierfest-nuernberg is a fairly comprehensive site. http://i46.tinypic.com/2mepdn5.jpg is a scan of a piece in the "Freizeit Journal" of the Frankenreport. Loosely translated bits: --- 31 breweries will offer more than 100 beers this year. New this year will be Nikle (Pretzfeld), Elch-Bräu (Thuisbrunn), Aufseß, Hofmühl (Eichstätt), Windsheimer (Gutenstetten), and the Brauhaus am Kreuzberg. Prices are independently set by the breweries, but should run between 2,80 and 3,00 € per Seidla. Various foodstuff will be available, as well as Schnapps from Haas in Pretzfeld, music, and stuff for kids: a playland, Franconian (!) petting zoo, face painting, and a programme of "childrens' animation". In nice weather, come early, as space becomes tight, despite 6000 seats. It's not been a secret for a long time now. --- I believe I'll actually go this year. There are a few breweries of interest to me, and hopefully some regulars will offer something special for the fest. I'll try my luck with ordering Schnitt(s) instead of full Seidla(s). Who else? |
