I noticed this after I posted. When Gerhard was recently trying to describe to me what a Saibling was, my first guess was "Lake Trout", and indeed, as you say, Lake Trout are in the Salmonidae Family. I never seem to be in Germany at the right time for Forelle or Saibling, but this trip at least I had some Matjes Fillet. Mmm.
