Breweries closing before Sandkerwa ?

In years past Spezial has been closed for a period leading up to Sandkerwa and then re-opens afterwards. Spezial Keller has been closed basically for the month of September. I don't think any of the other Bamberg breweries close then (though I'm not 100% sure about Greifenklau -- don't think I've been there around this time). For breweries in countryside it's a different story. August is prime vacation time and many close for a week or two (or longer). There is no real well to tell except to call before you head out. This Fred arrives August 17th (with father, a brother and a friend) so I'll just miss you. Probably a good thing, Bamberg probably couldn't deal with two Freds :)
