| It's most definitely law. It goes into effect 1st August, and this time, people can't really make arguments about the state encroaching on the will of the people, as the people themselves have decided. Whether anti-smoke-free pubs will comply with the new law is another question, since there won't really be any enforcement. But this is a country of law and order, so surely they'll all comply. ;) Does anyone know of any other place where the *people* have enacted a smoking ban like this, as opposed to governmental dictation? I'm off to celebrate...er...outside at the Bierkeller(s). |
