Odd Canadian English pronunciations (very OT)

I think we've had this discussion here before. That the average Bavarian...sorry...FranCONian might not know there's a difference between Holland and the Netherlands, so they use the names interchangably, without meaning any offense. I'm mistaken for a Scot about as often as I am mistaken for a Dutchman, though I certainly DON'T look the part of the latter. Somewhat bizarrely, I was once asked if I'm a Pole, though I think that guy was drunk at the time. I wouldn't think a northern Yank accent sounds like a Polish one.
