Altenburg - Bamberg

Well the easiest I see from bahn.de is an ICE from Frankfurt(M)Hbf - Würzburg - Bamberg, which could be as low as 29 € p.p. I have {0} experience or knowledge of Hahn, other than I see it's a 1:45 bus ride to Frankfurt(!). Why not overnight in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen and enjoy the amazing Apfelwein-Kultur there? I only learned of it myself a couple of months ago, via ...wait for it... a group of about 20 CAMRA blokes doing a weekend there. Think Düsseldorfer Altbierhaus(es), but smaller and quainter, with excellent (though I'm fairly ignorant of cider) cider poured from gigantic ceramic jugs instead of Altbier. It was an eye-opener for me.
