Tick...Scoop...Sandkerwa: Beck Elevator

"Tripelbock" could feasibly work as a Germanic term, if only because it sort of makes sense grammatically, but it won't be used, and neither will "Gerstenwein." German classification for such beers is simpler: anything running 16% Stammwürze (central-European-style original extract percentage, also measured as degrees Plato) is simply "Starkbier," a catch-all category that covers Bock, Doppelbock, Eisbock, and Weizenbock. Even Schorschbräu's lunatic-strength 43% monster is simply called "Schorschbock." Terms like "Barleywine" and "Triple Bock" are English and American affectations. And now I'm wondering if Brouwerij de Molen will be bringing out any of their ration of Elevator for their Borefts brewfest on 25 September.
