Weihnachtsmarkt recommendations

It varies. Sometimes the Winterbock is also for Xmas. Sometimes they brew 'ein Festbier zu Weihnachten'. Meister in Unterzaunsbach brew a lovely Xmas Festbier, basically like their regular dark Vollbier, but stronger (5,5%?) and maltier. You'll have to try some for yourself and report back! AFA the markets go, try the "Feuerzangenbowle". It's stronger than Glühwein, made with rum (?), but is also tastier and fun to watch being made with the flaming cone of sugar. http://www.dict.cc/?s=Feuerzangenbowle is as good a translation as I can think of. They pour burning rum over a sugar cone, which hangs above the pot of punch, so it drips down flaming into the punch. We have a nice little "mediaeval" market in Erlangen with great Feuezangenbowle. We also found Liefman Glühkriek at the Market in Dresden a couple of years ago.
