Nürnberg to Bamberg by train?

It looks like only some of the RE trains are running from Fürth to Bamberg on Nov. 20. But more trains are running from Vach. And Vach looks about as close as Fürth to NUE. So, a taxi to Vach Hbf might just be the best option. Thanks
