Dryhopping!

Nice! One guy I discussed it with is pro-Reinheitsgebot (like everybody is, right?) argued that if we allow this, it will open up a door and eventually brewers will use whatever cheap sugars are available to make beer more profitably. I found it interesting to argue that allowing a relatively expensive brewing "extra" operation which makes beer more palatable for elite connoisseurs would lead to eventual cheapening of beer quality for jedermann. FWIW, I have not been dryhopping my Hausbräu, not yet anyway. I'm not convinced it brings THAT much more hop aroma than using lots of aroma hops at the end of the boil, and my hops are precious to me. It's still pretty hoppy though.
