| Ok, confession time. I bought a bottle of something called Paulaner Oktoberfestbier (6%) in my local Tesco's. Gulp. I drank it last night. More gulps. I actually quite liked it. Multi-gulps! Not too good on tasting notes but it was a sort of smooth pils and I even got over the CO2 by resisting drinking after pouring for at least a minute. Sorry, but it's sad living without proper beer. (Oh yes and at about €1.95 not so bad a price for Ireland - might buy some more). |
