Düll's beer - the Pils, especially - was superb. When I think of beer as a craft, I think of beer like this, well-made, just the right touch of hops, and well worth a return visit. Wolf's beers - the pale lager and the dunkles - were pleasant, uncomplicated beers, a little on the sweeter side, and good to drink with the food they had there. As far as other beers in the region, I've also had beers from the Landwehrbräu from Reichelshofen, north of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber - only okay at best - and two of the breweries in Dinkelsbühl. The hefeweizen at Weib's was quite good, a pleasant surprise. Hauf-Brauerei beers were straight-up typical Bavarian in style. I also visited Miltenberg in April 2009. Too bad the Kalt-Loch-Bräu is gone, as I really like their beers. Faust beers were all right, a little like Hauf, again very typical Bavarian in style. Clearly, More Research Is Indicated. Especially Spielbach and Jochsberg.
