Yeah, der Griess-Keller is only open from about 15.45. Sometimes a little earlier, sometimes as late as their posted Öffnungszeiten. Why bother with Mahr's...surely you've been before, right? How about Sunday: Gänstaller - Griess Keller - Witzgall Keller, pretty straight route, somewhat hilly to Geisfeld, then quite level, (only!) 28 km according to < http://goo.gl/maps/T8Ywf > You could save a couple of km, but add a couple of big f*-off hills by heading from Roßdorf through Amlingstadt to Hirschaid.
