Looks interesting. Regarding in line/on line: definitely 'in line' in UK but more common to say 'in a queue', particularly in context of a shop, waiting for a bus, etc. Had an interesting couple of weeks comparing English/US usage with Seattle friends Don & Cheries. In spite of some differences, we seemed to be able to communicate ok, specially over a seidla or 2 of zoigl. More importantly, Don was definitely getting to grips with the mysteries of Oberpfalzische but now has the problem of Koelsche! |
