I recommend blogger.com
With this online content managing software You can host the content for free at blogspot.com
Your website has so a name as
yourname.blogspot.com.
Fred Waltman uses p.e.
http://havebeer.blogspot.de/
One advantage is, that You can change your content per internet browse from everywhere (also from internet cafés).

You can try this tool. It's easy to use and You find many templates for the design. If You try the tool, set the settings of no publishing until You have decided to publish.

If You want to have Your own domain, You have the possibilty to lease/buy a domain where You want (also form blogger.com) and then to use this domain and connect Your content at blogspot.com with Your domain. For the domain name You have to pay a fee (depends on the offer, maybe 12 Euro per year and per domain name).

Then an user of Your website call You domain and get Your content, hosted at blogspot.com, but have the impression, that he sees Your domain.
I do this for some of my websites, p.e.
www.abseits-bamberg.de
A disadvantage: the user can see a navigation bar at the top of the page.

If You want to use a Facebook page for Your book too, You can let flow the content (rss feeds) of Your blogger account into Facebook automatically. I do this p.e. for abseits-bamberg.de. Each post there goes automatically into
https://www.facebook.com/DominoGastgewerbe
that's the Café Abseits page at Facebook. So I can kill two birds with one stone.
