the important thing is to enjoy a product that is as natural as humanly possible, without unnecessary processing.

Like how beer is made with hops. One should always prefer beers made with hops that have been as minimally processed as possible. Like, fresh instead of dried, dried instead of pelletised, and pelletised over extracts.
