RateBeer Best Awards

Have now had time to check: Marble moved its brewing to a nearby industrial estate some time ago, meaning that it is not a brewpub.  Probably should be classified as a brewery tap.  The latest CAMRA Good Beer Guide (2014) lists dozens, if not hundreds, of brewpubs - surely one of these could have merited an entry?

The fact that there 40-odd counties in England alone, never mind the rest of the UK, and that the list only includes entries for 20-odd suggests that this is a very skewed pole.  Re Bavaria: the venues receiving awards are all the really well-known ones, which makes me think that the survey is extremely partial - I wonder how many beer raters actually live in German; these results make me suspect that the survey represents the experiences of visitors, probably mainly US-based, who tend to go for the high profile places.

Gerhard mentioned that a minimum of 10 reviews was necessary - does that go for all the awards?  It's hard to imagine that 10 rate beerers have visited all the venues in the world!

Sorry to cast any doubt upon your award Gerhard; Cafe Abseits is still a top bar, head and shoulders above any similar institution and deserves all the praise it gets.
