Weiss or Weizen

Weiss was a real disappointment for me.  Unfiltered, top fermented, it seemed to offer everything that a cask ale loving Englishman would desire.  Having tried a few, I gave up - too sweet, too sickly, just not a beery taste. More important, too many other good beers to try in the limited time that we have available in Germany.
