Erlangen Kerwa - Reports - Dietzhofer Hell

Excellent. So was there any beer before the Anstich? I did a walk-through early yesterday afternoon to see if anything was new this year. Nothing AFAICT, though I did note that Br. Kundmüller have their Weizen, Lager, Kellerbier, and Festbier (and what else?) on offer at the little Keller they operate, and get this -- 7.50€ instead of 8€ per Mass. Can't remember the Seidla price, I assume 3.75€. Probably the best beer at the Fest, which has come the farthest, is also the cheapest.

Had  a Seidla of the Helles Vollbier from Alt (Dietzhof) for 3.80€, and Jürgen might be relieved to know it was fine, though typically under-hopped as normal. IIRC, it's the Dunkel that was horrid last year. Will go back and investigate further on Thursday or Friday.

Once is enough. And the Forchheimer Kellerwald *is* a place to beat the heat, as it's mostly on the northern, shady slope and heavily wooded, providing natural AC. Damn...may even head there myself.
